Venice Tapes - Cyrus Peñarroyo

As part of the 2014 Venice Architecture Biennale, the Taiwan Pavilion, curated by Jimenez Lai of Bureau Spectacular produced a series of short interviews of architects, designers, and others surrounding the field. Each participant was asked two questions, what is your origin story and what advice to you have for early career designers. These became the Venice Tapes, a 12 video series.

This iteration of the Venice Tapes features designer and professor Cyrus Peñarroyo. Cyrus is an assistant professor at the University of Michigan Taubman College of Architecture + Urban Planning, where he was the William Muschenheim Fellow in 2015–2016. He is also half of the EXTENTS design collaborative.

As a side note, I produced these videos as a member of Bureau Spectacular.
